Half Marathon Prep: My Messy First Track Interval Run

I’ve decided to run a half marathon.
Which means I need to build up my fitness…
The original plan was to do intervals — 200m at 5:00 pace, then 200m at 6:30 pace…
Well, it turned into a complete mess. ^^;;
First off, I kept checking my watch to see my current pace…
but there’s a bit of a lag before your current pace actually shows up on the watch (which makes sense, I guess).
So I basically ended up sprinting flat out, and then trying to recover at 6:30…
except there’s no way my heart rate was going to recover… not in just 200m at 6:30 pace… hahaha.
I think I really need a coach. ^^;;
Oh, and the Hoka Tecton — it goes without saying, but it’s seriously? excellent for track running too.
