철원 DMZ 국제마라톤 하프코스 도전, 부상 후 러닝 복귀기

발목 부상으로 힘들어서… let me translate.

After my ankle injury made things rough, I’d put running on hold for a while. Now I wanted to get back into it and set myself a goal — but the best thing for someone like me is to just dive in first and figure out the cleanup later… so yeah, I went and signed up.

Back when I ran my 19th marathon event, I did the 10k. This time, I’m going to take on the half-course.

The 5k is a walking course — you can watch the runners go by and enjoy a nice, easygoing hour-long stroll.

The 10k is a proper marathon course. You run it in around an hour, so it’s a good way to get a real taste of marathon running.

This is the half-course I’ll be running, and it has a different starting point. You set off on the half-course, hit a turnaround partway, and loop back to the main event start.

The full course still scares me, honestly ^^ It makes one big loop around the whole route and comes back down.

For the half marathon, you need to run the 22 kilometers at about 7 minutes per kilometer to finish within the time limit. My plan is to train toward a 5:30 per kilometer pace. That would get me in under two hours. So from here on out, it’s time to drop some weight and run.

I really want to finish this one. ^^;;
