Brompton P Line Carbon Saddle Swap: A Clamp Snag

브롬톤 T라인에 이어 P라인에도 쓰려고 카본 안장을 하나 더 구입했습니다. 아래는 번역 결과입니다.
After the Brompton T Line, I wanted to use one on my P Line too, so I bought a second carbon saddle. Time to swap it in. I snapped a photo first so I’d have a good record of the original saddle angle. Pretty aggressive, as you can see.

I lifted the seat up a little, then used a hex wrench to loosen the bolt and remove the old saddle.

This is the part that connects the saddle to the seatpost. I’m not sure exactly what it’s called.

I set the carbon saddle in place. Assembly is just disassembly in reverse… except… a problem came up. The carbon rails have a long, oval shape. The rails on the old saddle were small in diameter and round. Because the clamp that holds the seat rails is shaped differently, I realized I couldn’t actually mount the carbon-railed saddle right now.

I’m not sure whether the Brompton P Line comes with different types of seat-clamp hardware, but mounting a carbon-railed saddle requires a separate part. I’ll have to track that part down and try the swap again. Hope this is helpful for anyone else running a Brompton P Line.
Thanks for reading.
