Free E-book Giveaway: My Journey to 40 Million Won in Blog Income

To close out the year, I want to do a free e-book giveaway for my blog neighbors and for anyone just starting out with blogging. Last year my AdPost earnings crossed 20 million won, and now I’m closing in on 40 million. My blog income just keeps climbing… So I’ve decided to start from the very beginning, write up the whole journey of how I got to where I am, and hand it out for free, one piece at a time, to everyone coming up behind me.
Sitting down to organize how I grew this blog so I could share it as an e-book actually helped me sort out my own thinking about blogging too. It’s been a huge help. Somewhere along the way my neighbor count passed 14,000, and 30,000 daily visitors is now the norm — on busy days it gets close to 100,000.
Growing this blog, I hit plenty of walls, agonized over them, and worked through each one. Back then I had no one to teach me about blogging, so I took a lot of detours and dealt with a lot of stress. For my academic background, I’d landed at a pretty solid place — a CJ subsidiary, a big company — and I worked hard at it, but I came to feel the company just wasn’t right for me. The blog was where I ran to, almost like an escape. Who could’ve guessed I’d end up making a living as a full-time blogger from it?
I clawed away at it because I didn’t want to have regrets, and the things I figured out along the way will just vanish someday if I don’t write them down and share them. I know a lot of you wonder whether it’s even worth keeping the blog going, and that plenty of people feel lost. I’m a lazy sort by nature, so if I don’t lean on the power of declaring something publicly, I just keep hesitating. So in the new year too, I’m going to pass on what I know and help people out.

The YouTube channel I started four months ago has grown to 7,000 subscribers — a decent result, and plenty of people are watching.
The group chat I set up for sharing info pulled in over 800 people in just one month, all trading tips with each other. Watching so many Naver influencers get made and take off in such a short time really convinced me that the direction I’m pointing people in is the right one. But.
The thing is, the content on YouTube and the info in the group chat tend to evaporate easily, so I noticed a lot of people asking the same questions over and over. To solve that, I got started on an e-book — late, I know — and I’ve been posting feeds on Instagram for the past two months building up to it. Today I’ve pulled it all together and I’m sharing the first e-book.

When I look at the people around me, at my friends, getting through life just seems so hard. It’s the same for me — but having the blog as a weapon, I hold on with a little more steadiness, knowing that even in a crisis I’ve got a last resort the others don’t. I hope this e-book can be like a whetstone for you too, something to sharpen your own blog into a weapon you can rely on.
This material might even become the stepping stone for a blog book I publish someday. I hesitated a long time before sharing it.
Unlike a lot of other e-books out there, there’s nothing here where the important stuff is locked behind a paid course, or where I tell you to buy something extra.

I’ll be giving the e-book out free to anyone who applies between December 21 and January 1. /
If too many people end up applying, though, I worry it’ll snowball into more than I can handle, so once the applicants pass a certain threshold I’ll stop distribution partway through and edit this post.

Beyond the blog, I’m already building out new income streams. The fact that a small blogger who was once thrilled to hit a million won a month has now passed 50 million in monthly income and is racing toward 100 million owes a lot to my neighbors’ encouragement and support.
