Finding a Sold-Out Billingham Game Bag in Olive for My Brompton
Gear · Published 10/10/2022 ·

My taste runs a little old-fashioned.
I tend to like classic designs and products, and once I bring something home, I try to use it for at least ten years. I keep up with the latest trends well enough, but unless it’s something like a PC, a phone, or a tablet, I usually go for things I can hold onto for a long time.
I bought a Billingham Hadley Pro bag back in my twenties and used it until my early forties before finally letting it go. I don’t shoot with an SLR anymore, so I just didn’t need it.
A few years ago I found out there was a similar bag made for Bromptons — but, of course, every single one was sold out. It bugged me enough that I’d search for it now and then, and as luck would have it, I managed to find an unused one.
The thing is, it doesn’t come with a frame. I’ll have to track one down separately.

The game bag in other colors is at least somewhat available, but that olive color was hard to come by.

No frame. I’m planning to buy one separately.

Looks like Natalie did the quality check…?

This is what the image on the product page looks like.
From over ten years of using bags that fasten with leather straps like that, I know the leather part doesn’t cause any trouble in actual use — so you can use it without worrying.
Now I just need to get my hands on a frame. (Phew…)
