Cheonggyecheon Barefoot: A Restful Day Before Chuseok

It’s the day before the Chuseok holiday.

I had a treatment at the hospital yesterday, and I also met up with a friend for the first time in ages.

I picked up a pair of gloves and a hat at the Arc’teryx store in Jongno 5-ga,

then we grabbed a meal at Gwangjang Market. Feeling like a bit of a walk afterward, we strolled along the Cheonggyecheon stream.

We walked all the way to City Hall, and right in front of it I dipped my feet in the water.

I’d gone the whole summer without ever putting my feet in a stream — and now, with summer basically over, even this late dip felt wonderfully cool.

My feet had been a little swollen from all the walking, and the cool water brought the swelling down. It felt so good.

Every now and then, it’s nice to just rest^^
